With the news of Beastmen coming in February as well as the recent release of Skaven and rumors of another fantasy army coming right after Beastmen, I have to start to think that the legitimacy of the rumors that a new Fantasy Rulebook (8th edition) will be released next summer is increasing in stock value.

First of GW plans on kicking off 2010 with a unit that hasn’t had a model in the longest time.  The Legion of the Damned will be released in January of 2010 and will be sold in a 15 man metal box.  Here’s the worlds first look.

Someone asked about Ordo Xenos: he looked very surprised someone still remembered it and said he was not on the to-do list at all.

Another guy asked “If you is a Black Templar player you will smile or cry to future?” and he said “I will cry for long time” and almost the same was said on the DA (”many things to do before”).
Last was very bad news for me (even if expected).

Last bit: asked about an “Horus heresy” themed expansion he said “beautiful but unlikely. Anyway, we will be happy to make a codex for some (not all) chaos legion”.
I was surprised as he get in argument without a direct question, but still that proves nothing.”

What this info says to me is Dark Angels will be out sometime in the Fall right after the release of Fantasy 8th Edition which is rumored for this summer.

Codex: Tyranids getting released in January.  Most people are going to complain that its to soon but if you look at their codex 1/2 the stuff doesn’t do anything anymore.  Not from GD UK but it is rumored that a new Plastic Hive Tyrant and Plastic Trygon will accompany the release of the book.  It is written by Robin Cruddace.

EDIT NOTE:  According to a new GW article the release of codex Tyranids brings new models “As you’ll read in Adam’s article, the new Codex features lots of new units - there will be three new plastic kits and three new metal models released alongside the Codex.” We’ll have to wait til closer to the launch for more news on them.

Announcing Chaos Rising

“The first picture is of the “basic” kit. You can use it for your wolf guard or mix it with the rest of SM line to get BC, LF, GH and scouts. You can assemble 10 minis. It contains 44 heads, 28 shoulder pads, arms and weapons for the wolf scouts, thunder hammers, wolf claws, pelts, plasma guns and pistols, and a variety of SW specific accesories like knives, wolf tails, etc.

The second picture is Canis Wolfborn. Amazing rider, not so keen on the wolf.
The third depicts the WG terminators. An excellent kit containing storm bolters, assault cannon, heavy flamer, chainsaw, power fists, power swords, frostblade? frost axe? (don’t know the englist word name) 4 pairs of wolf claws and 4 pairs of thunder hammers and storm shields. And all that for the same price of a SM terminator squad. Hope it isn’t a typo.
